All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

            All the Bright Places cover

Overall Opinions:

Really good storyline, likeable characters and relateable themes.

Would I reread it? Yes.     Read count: 1 time

Themes I recognized: Mental illness, mainly depression and suicide, family loss, family bonds, pressure fron the world.

Characters:

Favourite character: Finch     Least favourite character: Finch's dad

Who I vibe with the most: Finch

Associations:

Colours I associate with All The Bright Places: lavender, light blue, dark red, blue-green, and yellow.

Other Commentary:

I think it is definitley underrated, and more people should read it. Also, the film adaptation for it was terrible; it didn't portray Finch's internal struggles so the events of the movie seemed a bit more out of place and rushed since that extra bit of explanation and point of view were not there. Definitely read the book instead of the movie for the full experience.
